Note1 Morning 5 am to 6 am inside the Temple Gomataha will be there,if you want to feed Gomatha please carry Banana and grass. Sometime they will sell grass inside the temple.

Note2 If you want to light lamp in temple premises please carry Ghee,Camphor, match box, lamp holders(deepam vattulu) Billva patram(Billva leaves)and waste cloth to clean excess oil.

Inside the temple also you can buy Ghee.

Darshan: 2 types of darshan

a) Free entrance

b) 20 rupees Darshan( Full moon day they will charge 50 rupees per person)

In Special Darshan you can see Lord Arunachala to bit closer.

When we can do Giri Pradakshina

You can do Girivalam\Giri pradakshina any time. (Normal days or Full Moon Day(Pournami) There is no specific time.

Please done Giri Pradakshina with bare feet.
While doing Giri Pradakshina walk slowly. It will take around 5 to 7 hrs (depends on your stamina)
While doing Giri Pradakshina ( Chant “Arunachla siva Arunachla siva Arunachal Siva Aruna siva or chant “Om Arunachalayana Maha”)

Note Due to hot in Arunachalam, many devotees will prefer night time or early morning.

From where we can start Girivalam\ Giri Pradakshina

We can start from Main Temple.

(Shoe Rack:- Keep your chappal right side to Main temple, stand maintained by Temple staff)

Near to main temple locker\shower facility available.

From Main temple first you can visit Indra Lingam (Asta Lingams sequence 1st lingam)

If you stay near to Ashram better you can start from Sri Rmanasramam Ashram.

From Sri Ramanasramam you can visit first Yama lingam (Asta Lingams sequence 3^rd lingam)

Where we will get good Accommodation in Arunachalam

Many Lodges are available near to Main temple, but bit expensive. As per my experience below Accommodation details are reasonable prices, but you may need to book in advance.

We will get auto with minimum fare.
From Siva Sannidhi to Main temple Auto will charge around 60 rupees.
People who want to do Giri Pradhakshana (girivalam) by Auto will get auto near to Siva Sanidhi,auto drivers will charge minimum price.
Even Siva Sanidhi staff will guide us.

There are rooms to suit individuals, couples and families. Each room is furnished and most rooms have attached bathrooms. Hot water for bathing is available during winter.
Normally they are allowed to stay only for three days. However, the stay can be extended in special cases.

How to reach Tirupathi to Arunachalam(Thiruvannamalai) through Bus

There are plenty of bus services operated by APSRTC and Tamilnadu RTC. We can catch direct services or Travel upto Vellore and then Arunachalam (Thiruvannamalai).

Note: During special days like Full moon day(POURNAMI) etc we will get many buses from Chittoor to Arunachalam and Vellore to Arunachalam.

How to reach Bangalore to Arunachalam(Thiruvannamalai) By Train

We can reach Arunachalam by Pudducherry express. Its Running weekly 3days(Monday, Thursday and Saturday) You can travel from Bangalore to Katpadi from there you can reach by Bus or Train to Arunachalam(Thiruvannamalai). It takes 3hrs by bus and 2 hrs by train.
